“Where there is no vision, the people perish.” – Proverbs 29:18 KJV.

You have reached the final task in creating the Masterpiece in you. I have saved the best for last. I created Paint Your Vision because I wanted to have a neat and unique way to present my vision to the world. By putting your vision on canvas, you are able to frame it if you like or simply hang it on the wall of your choice. I would suggest you hang it in your office at work or in your hallway at home. The intention is that you hang it in a place that you frequent.  Not so that you can stop and stare at it for hours each day, but so that your subconscious will notice it.

As you create your vision board, choose images that mean something to you. If you love going to the beach and walking in the sand, the image on your vision board might include sand and flip flops. Your image might include someone walking on the beach, getting sand between their toes as the sun is setting or your image might include someone walking along the pier. The image should be strong enough to make you feel like you are actually there. You should feel some pebbles of sand between your toes.

You may also find that some of the things on your vision board are best described with words. So you might want to use the following words typed and printed or painted on your vision board: Money, Wealth, Healthy, Soul Mate, Success, Meditate, Pray, Fast, or Patience. Use a combination of words and pictures to convey the things you want to bring into your life.

Instructional Sheet – How to create a Vision Board

There is no right or wrong way to create your Paint Your Vision board. The key is to do what feels right to you. By all means, research other vision boards to get good ideas but your Paint Your Vision board should be uniquely yours. However, I will give you some tools and suggestions on what can get you started on the right path.

Your box contains everything you need to create your vision board. If there are some images that you have collected or would like to collect that might take your vision board to the next level, by all means add them. You can choose to create your box alone, with a friend, or have a Paint Your Vision Board Party with a group of friends. I would set aside a couple of hours to do this activity.

Here are some things you can do to increase your creative juices:

*   Light candles to heighten the ambiance

*   Cook up an assortment of finger foods

*   Put on some creative music - jazz or something with positive lyrics

*   Make sure you have a comfortable chair and plenty of work space

*   Schedule it at a time when it is quiet or when you and your group can be alone

*   Say a prayer and/or meditate before you get started

*   Gather other images that personally speak to you

Now it’s time to paint!

*   Put down some paper or plastic while you paint your canvas to protect your table surface.

*   When you are ready to begin painting, grab the enclosed water cup and fill it half full with warm water.

*   Before you begin painting, dip your brush into your water cup and lightly brush a thin layer of water over your entire canvas. Don’t saturate the canvas with water; just a thin layer of water should suffice. This preps your canvas by waking it up so that it is ready to receive the paint.

*   You are using acrylic paints which are water based. Prepping the canvas with water decreases the amount of paint required to cover your canvas and allows the paint to be applied easier and more evenly.

*   You will need paper napkins or paper towels to dip your paintbrush on if you need to change colors (or in case of spills).

*   Fill your painting pallet with your desired colors.

Let the creativity flow and make your vision come to life!
